The Challenge
Our client had inherited a property burdened by an unresolved boundary dispute. Prior counsel had failed to produce a workable solution across three attempts, and the opposing party had become entrenched.
Our Approach
We commissioned an independent cadastral survey, assembled a complete historical title chain going back sixty years, and filed a motion for declaratory judgment. Simultaneously, we opened a parallel mediation track to offer the other side a face-saving exit.
The Result
Declaratory judgment granted in our client's favour. Opposing party accepted mediated compensation, signed a full release and waived appeal. Total cost came in 40% under the initial estimate.
